Nipawin continues to have a very active winter season, kicked-off by the Parade of Lights. Businesses and residents alike take pride in their community and decorate floats with glorious lights and colours, which accurately reflect Nipawin’s glowing spirit. The Parade of Lights takes place on the 1st and 2nd Fridays in December each year.

For the 2002/2003 season Nipawin won a national competition, called the Winter Lights Celebrations, based on our famous Parade of Lights.
