Nipawin is entering into an era of growth, opportunity, and prosperity thanks to a number of exciting new enterprises in the area. Nipawin is the closest major community to the Fort à la Corne kimberlite field, one of the largest diamond-producing geological bodies in the world. As diamond exploration continues to return exciting findings, Nipawin is quickly becoming the hub of activity in the new diamond industry in northeast Saskatchewan. Nipawin is also becoming a center for technology and innovation. The Nipawin Biomass Ethanol Project has been gaining international attention as a promising new enterprise in the alternative fuel industry. This project is leading the way in a cluster of bio-related industries in the Nipawin area. Nipawin is a community entering the future with promise and potential.
