Murals Of Nipawin
As a millennium project, the Murals of Nipawin Inc, in conjunction with the Town of Nipawin commissioned a number of murals to be created on buildings throughout the town. The murals showcase life in Nipawin throughout the years and provide a tribute to both the history and present life of the town
Mural 1: The CPR Bridge
The “Crooked Bridge” is shown in this first mural completed, surrounded by the brilliant colours of Autumn. The 1908 foot long steel structure spans the Saskatchewan River just east of Nipawin. A steam locomotive is shown passing over the bridge while travelers cross with horse and buggy or by car. Mural 1 can be seen on the side of the Nipawin Senior Citizen’s Centre next to Central Park

The second mural to be completed in Nipawin illustrates the creativity and spontaneity of winter recreation in the early days, evoking memories of having fun in the snow with family and friends. This image takes you back to 1925 as residents of Nipawin enjoy the winter afternoon.

Mural 3: Those Were The Days
Vibrant colours were utilized in the vintage Nipawin street scene to bring out the freshness of the new day following a rain.
Mural 3 is hung above the door of the Grayson Massage Therapy Building. It was completed over the winter by a number of members of the Nipawin Art Club and dedicated in the summer of 2000
